This beach is located at the foot of Mount Rumassala and to reach this beach you have to walk through the jungle from the top of Mount Rumassala down.
Tourists are of the opinion that the reason for the name "Jungle beach" is to travel through the jungle and reach this beach.
The sea in this place is not rough so even small children can bathe, have fun and play. The Rumassala 'Japanese peace chaythya' is located close to this beach. Many tourists who visit Jungle beach go to this temple for pilgrimage.
About 5km from Galle town towards Matara you can reach near Rumassala hill. There is also a boat service that allows you to visit the coral reefs if you want to visit the Rumassala beach.
