Nine arche bridge
'The nine arch bridge' is a viaduct bridge in srilanka. It is located in Demodara, bitween Ella and Demodara railway stations. This is created in a deep valley. It is the one of the best example of the English-era railway construction in the srilanka. The designer of the vinduct was Harold Cutheert Marwood of railway construction department of ceylon government railway. It was built by P.K.Appuhami, a ceylonese builder who consulted with English engineers. Stones , bricks , cement and other materials was used to create this bridge. Nine arch bridge's hight is 24.38 meters and also it's length is 91.44 meters. Due to the creativity of this bridge and the attraction of the surroundings , this is a place that attacts both of local and forign tourists. When the train pass over this bridge a beautiful view can be seen.
